What is it
Number tracing worksheets with reducing prompts
Teaching Objectives
Develop numeracy skills
Trace numbers 1 to 10
How to use
Count the fruits and identify the number
Before starting to trace with a pencil, get your child to trace the number with his index finger.
If your child is still learning to trace numbers, prompt your child hand over hand to trace and slowly reduce the hand holding pressure to reduce assistance.
Teaching tips
Use a thick or triangular pencil to help your child hold the pencil with a tripod grip
Point out numbers on different mediums (e.g. books, magazines, texts...) and practice tracing the number with the index finger to familiarise number formation
