You can also use other methods to create the handle such as folding paper and attaching it with a stapler!
3) Practice cutting skills by guiding your child to cut the food items out
Print out more pictures on your own to extend the variety of items!
Practice tearing coloured or crepe paper to create a base at the bottom of the basket
4) Use the customisable shopping list on the last page to list items that your child will need to fill the basket with (eg: 2 apples)
Practice counting
Practice retrieving specific items
Teaching tips
Make cutting simple by starting off first and letting your child finish up the last snip, or cut the curved parts first for them to practice cutting straight lines
If needed, identify the items one by one and read off the shopping list together
Use hand over hand prompt if your child is new to art and craft activities
