What is it

A set of worksheets to teach counting and to describe how many objects through matching, colouring, tracing and writing activities


Teaching Objectives

  • Expand language by describing (quanity)(object) e.g. three hearts

  • Practise matching, colouring, tracing and writing skills 





How to use

  • Encourage your child to count aloud to ensure that he or she is counting accurately

  • Prompt your child to answer eg. “two hearts” or “there are three squares”


Teaching tips

  • Play fun counting games with your child wherever you go e.g. “How many red cars can you spot?”

  • Pair this worksheet with videos to make counting more fun
