How to use
Select pages 4-13 and set printer settings to print 2 pages per sheet for optimal sizing
Present one card at a time and ask your child to count along with you! (How many turtles are there?)
Paste dot stickers, use dot markers or put counters on the dot prompt to guide your child’s counting When he is more proficient, get your child to use his finger to point at each sea creature individually as he counts.
Help your child associate the number that he has counted by pointing on the number on the card (“There are 7 sharks, this is the number 7!”)
Point to the number word and read along with your child
Teaching tips
Start with smaller numbers (ie.1-5) first. Introduce the bigger numbers when your child has shown consistency with counting
Encourage your child by counting along with him in the beginning and pausing at the last few sea creatures to allow your child to count on his own
Embed more learning opportunities
