What is it

Clip cards: Matching of

How to use

  • Cut and laminate clip cards

  • Use wooden pegs to clip onto matching picture/ letter/ word

  • You can also use markers to stamp/ circle/ mark the matching picture/ letter/ word

  • There’s something for everyone!


  • Are you learning to match and identify the names of body parts?- use Identical matching of body parts (pg 1-2)


  • Are you good with identifying body parts but need to challenge yourself? - use Non-identical matching of body parts (pg 3-4)


  • Are you a budding reader learning to identify first letter sounds? - Use Matching first letter of body part (word prompt) (pg 5-8)

  • Are you getting a hang of identifying first letter sounds? - Use Matching first letter of body part (no prompt) (pg 5-8) 


  • Are you ready to read words with some help? - use Matching word label to body part (word prompt) (pg 9-12)

Teaching tips

  • With each card, have your child point to his/her own body part or on their favourite soft toy!

  • Help your child with identifying the first letters by emphasising on the phonics sounds 


Embed more learning opportunities

  • Play our dice game to apply what you can do with each body part!
